 Some reports indicate that total
time on the temporary longwire antenna approached a year, and
with several rebuilds of the long wire, they finally achieved 50 kw
into it. City permit requirements delayed completion of a
backup tower such that the "temporary" tower topped out just a
couple of weeks ahead of the new main tower. (Thanks, Marv
Collins, Bart Bartlett, and Larry Wichman for photo
information.)

A note on the back of the photo above
states that the power was 7-1/2 KW during the 1-1/2
months before a new tower, the first of two, was erected. The
short pole to the right of the building and between the two
tall poles is still there.
